Compassionate and nurturing, Shannon is the driving force behind Schafer Sports’ special needs program. She believes that gymnastics can build confidence and strength as well as vital social and behavioral skills for children on the ASD spectrum, and is a champion for all children with special needs. An excellent teacher with a world of patience, she trains the Special Olympics team, evaluates all special needs students and provides one-on-one training. Prior to Schafer Gymnastics, she developed programs in the corporate fitness industry. Shannon holds a B.S. in Business Management from South Carolina State University.
