Our warm water pool Aqua Fitness program is taught by certified instructors and helps promote and enhance physical and mental fitness. Aqua Fitness is usually performed in an upright position in shallow or deep water. We offer several options to appeal to a wide variety of adults.

The water’s unique properties allow the pool to provide an environment for people of all abilities. Buoyancy creates a reduced impact environment that is easy on the joints, while offering resistance that challenges the muscles. Water lends itself to a well-balanced workout that improves all major components of physical fitness – aerobic training, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility and body composition.

Program Details

Aerobics classes are scheduled in 50 minute segments but the length that a participant works out is up to you. Each class is limited to 16 per class. Water aerobics can conform to almost any individual needs, abilities or restrictions. You can adjust the size and speed of your movements to change the level of exertion that best fits your needs. Water aerobics allows every joint and muscle to be used at the same time. Water aerobics can be done no matter what your age, weight or physical fitness level is because water keeps the body buoyant and therefore does not unduly stress the joints and muscles.

Class Descriptions

This fast paced cardiovascular aquatic workout utilizes equipment for muscular strength training, toning and stretching. This is a class appropriate for all exercise levels and lower impact options will be demonstrated.

A high energy, fun fitness, shallow water workout that can be as challenging as you would like. This class is appropriate for all exercise levels and lower impact options will be demonstrated. Cardio, strength, flexibility – this class has it all and lessens the impact on your joints.

Strengthens, tightens and tones your core using natural water resistance. Increase muscle definition, burn calories, improve flexibility as well as overall feeling better overall. Leave feeling refreshed, stretched and energized. This is a class appropriate for all exercise levels and lower impact options will be demonstrated.

This class includes aerobic activities mixed with high-energy movements that will allow you to challenge your workout and improve overall fitness. We will combine various types of resistance and cardio training for a complete circuit class with added fun and excitement. This is a class appropriate for all exercise levels and lower impact options will be demonstrated.
